Women Helping Women
WHW’s primary goal is to help high-risk families break the cycle of addictions, poverty, low-self esteem, poor health care, prostitution, and incarceration, by providing grass roots, community-based services to women inmates of the Leon County Jail to help keep them out of jail. The services provided include: case management, support groups, information and referral services, job placement and educational services, parenting and life skills development, and help with the restoration of Civil Rights. WHW is funded through grants from CHSP & the Leon County Board of County Commissioners
