MIC is a non-profit networking organization comprised of women in recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction. Ms. Rosalind Y. Tompkins founded MIC in April of 1991. MIC is located in Tallahassee, Florida. MIC’s mission is to link families and communities together to create networks of support and encouragement for families to live drug-free lives. Mothers In Crisis, which began as a support group for women, has grown into a full service non-profit organization providing prevention, intervention and outpatient substance abuse services.

Mothers In Crisis is licensed by the state of Florida to provide prevention, intervention, substance abuse and non-residential outpatient services. MIC offers education through experience. By sharing experiences about drugs and alcohol, others can become sensitized to the needs of families ripped apart by addiction. Sensitization leads to solutions and MIC believes key solutions to the drug epidemic are prevention intervention and treatment. Everyone working together can make a difference in the lives of families in crisis.

Mothers In Crisis presents powerful presentations with messages that recovery is possible; drugs steal, and violence kills; and AS LONG AS THERE’S BREATH IN YOUR BODY, THERE’S HOPE.
